Hoo boy! Just when you thought you can get over with all that “iPad Mini” story, another rumor floats on the blogosphere coming from people “with knowledge” on the matter claiming the new iPad 3 will come in two models. The former is the one we already know packing with A6 CPU and retina-like display (2048×1536) resolution while the other one will also pack the same processor although will stick at 1024×768 display only — similar with iPad 2 at a bargain.
Naturally, all of these commotions are branded in the “if-condition” category, but just in case Apple released two new iPad models this year, it’s most likely foreseeable the high-end one will have the $499 for its entry-level price while its lower sibling can have a starting a price beginning at $299 (WiFi-only model) which is highly lucrative and could instantly bring a new wave of competition for those tablets who are using its cheap price as its advantage over iPad like Kindle Fire.
For those who are unaware, Amazon’s flagship tablet manage to sold more than four million units during December said to have undercut and burned iPad sales. Likewise, this may all change should the Cupertino giant planned for that strategy we mentioned above. What do you think?
